And the winner is …

This is the cover design S&S chose for the anniversary edition of FAHRENHEIT 451. It was the winner of a public design contest held on Tumblr. I’m sorry, but it’s crap — and it’s also crappy to take work away from people who get *paid* to do cover design in the guise of a “contest.” Ugh on both counts. Why are so many bad decisions being made lately in regards to book cover design?

The competition was fierce, and the deliberations were anything but easy. Ultimately, the judges felt that Owen’s design exemplified the creativity, elegance and classic appeal they were hoping to find.

Thank you to EVERYBODY who entered. We were truly blown away by the enormous amount of talent we encountered. We hope you had fun!
